Central Park

Central Park
Central Park is a day out on it's own and it has its appeal no matter what the season. here are some of my pics of what to do in and around Central Park.
From a sunny day just walking around the park and sitting in Sheep Meadow to walking past the boating lake through the many bridge tunnels and beautiful bridges. You have to be careful not to get lost as it can become somewhat of a maze.

Bethesda Terrace & Fountain
This Iconic location within Central Park is a focal point and is one of the most popular and visited places within the park, it is a beautiful location and has been in many films (Home Alone 2 being one of its more famous ones).
the boating lake that overlooks this makes this just an amazing location in the park and is magical no matter the season. in the summer you have the colours from the trees and the water and in winter if you are lucky enough to experience snow.........well you in for a treat as the park turns into a magical wonderland.

Exploring The Park
Central Park has many rock formations and these natural bedrock, there are many around the park and add to the character of the park. the scene from Home Alone 2 where Kevin got his foot stuck in the rock was actually filmed in the park and is located at Gapstow bridge.
See if you can find it.!!

There are a few water features in the park, such as the reservoir and Harlem Meer probably the most famous is "The Pond" due to it's fame from films again with "Home Alone 2" being one of its most famous but another big film " The Manchurian Candidate" from the 1960's filmed at this location where Laurence Harvey jumping into the lake after being prompted by a bartender.
There are also some great building shots to be taken from the park with some iconic ones such as the Plaza and Central Park Tower, and if you fancy the thought of owning one of these then i hope you have a spare few bits of gold as the prices for apartments range from $13,750,000 to $250,000,000.

Central Park In The Snow
If you are lucky enough to be in NYC and the snow begins to fall then drop all your plans and head to Central Park.!
Snow turns this place into a magical winter wonderland and pictures really cant do it justice.
